A Complete Berean Catalogue of Calvinist Proof Texts

Purpose
This companion reference surveys the biblical passages commonly cited in support of Calvinistic theology. Each passage is evaluated using the same Berean methodology employed throughout Volume I: careful attention to context, grammar, literary flow, and the whole counsel of Scripture. The purpose is not to defend or attack a theological system, but to test every claim by Scripture.

Genesis — Book Summary

Primary Calvinist proof texts: Genesis 6:5; Genesis 50:20
Secondary proof texts: Genesis 12:1–3; 15:6; 18:19; 25:23; 45:5–8
Occasionally cited: Genesis 20:6; 22:18; 24:27; 26:3–5
Rare or historical citations: various narrative texts.

Genesis 6:5

Classification: Secondary Proof Text

Calvinist Claim: Human depravity is so extensive that fallen humanity cannot come to God apart from divine grace.

Immediate Context: The verse describes mankind’s pervasive wickedness before the flood: every inclination of the heart was continually evil. It establishes universal corruption but does not explicitly define the precise nature of human inability, nor the order of regeneration and faith.
