Today’s Bible Verse

Waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.
Titus 2:13

Today’s Reflection

The Christian life is lived with anticipation. While we seek to faithfully serve Christ today, our eyes are also fixed upon the glorious promise of His return. Paul describes this expectation as “our blessed hope.”

Hope, in the biblical sense, is not uncertain optimism. It is the confident expectation that God will fulfill every promise He has made. Because Jesus rose from the dead, believers can be absolutely certain that He will return exactly as He promised.

This hope transforms the way we live. It reminds us that the struggles of this present life are temporary. Every sorrow, every disappointment, every trial, and every temptation will one day come to an end. Christ will establish His kingdom in righteousness, and all who belong to Him will dwell with Him forever.

Knowing that Christ may return at any time also encourages holy living. We desire to be found faithful, walking in obedience and serving Him with joyful hearts. Rather than becoming consumed with the temporary concerns of this world, we seek to invest our lives in what has eternal value.

Our blessed hope also fills us with courage. The future is not uncertain for the child of God because our future rests securely in the hands of our risen Savior. Whatever tomorrow may bring, we know how the story ends. Christ reigns. His promises cannot fail. His victory is complete.

One day faith will become sight. The Savior we have loved, trusted, and worshipped will stand before us in all His glory. Every believer will be transformed into His likeness, every tear will be wiped away, and we shall dwell with Him forever.

Until that glorious day, let us live faithfully, serve joyfully, and eagerly await the appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.
